Privacy Policy
The short version: no login, no ads, no selling your data, no cross-app tracking. We designed BigDadHug so that we know as little about you as possible. This policy explains exactly what that means.
1. What We Do Not Collect
BigDadHug has no accounts and no login. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or location. We do not show ads, and we do not sell or share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers. We do not track you across other apps or websites.
2. What Actually Happens When You Use the App
A small amount of technical data is necessary to run any modern app. Here is all of it.
Anonymized usage analytics. We use TelemetryDeck, a privacy-first analytics service, to understand how the App is used in aggregate, such as which talks are played and which features are used. This data is anonymized before it reaches us and contains no personal identifiers. We cannot use it to identify you.
Subscription management. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat assigns your device a random anonymous identifier that is not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID. It exists only so the App knows whether a subscription is active.
Payments. All purchases are processed by Apple. We never see or store your payment details, billing address, or Apple ID. Apple's handling of your payment information is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
Your preferences. Settings such as your chosen Dad voice and favorites are stored on your device and in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. That data lives in your iCloud storage, under your Apple account, and we cannot access it.
Content delivery. Audio and content are delivered from our content servers. Like virtually all internet services, those servers may generate transient technical logs, including IP addresses, for security and operational purposes. We do not use these logs to identify you.
3. Children
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because the App has no accounts, we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
4. Your Rights and Choices
Because we hold no personal information about you, there is generally nothing for us to access, correct, or delete. Deleting the App removes its data from your device. Data stored in your iCloud account is controlled by you through your Apple account settings. If you have a privacy question or believe we hold information about you, contact us at contact@bigdadhug.com and we will respond as required by applicable law, including laws that grant you rights to access, correct, or delete personal information.
5. Changes to This Policy
If our practices change, we will update this policy and revise the Effective Date above. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice in the App. We do not plan to change the fundamentals: no login, no ads, no selling your data.
